On May 15th Vienna-based experimental Jazz/Rock/Electronic Trio /kry [ @kry.trio ] presents the music video for their piece „Sārbaz“ in cooperation with Canada-based, Iranian Video-, and Animation-Artist Ghazal Majidi [ @ghazalmajidi.studio ].
Directly inspired by the global fight for equality and freedom, the composition and video aim to equally express desperation, fear and anger as well as resistance and endurance, but most of all: hope.
Reaktor Wien and its visual and acoustic properties will provide a unique atmosphere for this cinematic/musical event.

/kry [kɹaɪ̯] is an instrumental Trio conceived by Alexander Yannilos, Mona Matbou Riahi and Philipp Kienberger in Vienna. The bands eccentric blend of contemporary grooves, avant-garde jazz and electronica leaves it completely untethered from any single genre, defying categorisation.
/kry’s sound is a revelry of simplicity and intuition, a celebration of complexity and control and an intricate fusion of its members' individual influences.
